Advanced CustomVue: Superior Vision, Day or Night

Advanced Customvue Technology is the amazing wavescan-guided technology that has allowed the most people to achieve 20/20 vision after laser vision correction in studies submitted to the FDA. Originally developed and used by NASA for high-powered space telescopes such as the Hubble Telescope, wavescan technology allows the capturing of far greater amounts of visual information from far away objects than conventional methods which are more susceptible to distortion of light as it travels over long distances.

Customization using proprietary Advanced Customvue Technology is unique and there is no substitute. Advanced Customvue Technology is based on the unique wavescan of a patient’s eyes. This wavescan is unique, much like a fingerprint. It contains the unique information about your eyes such as all the tiny imperfections. This information is used by the laser to create an Advanced Customvue WaveScan-Guided treatment that is unique to the patient, allowing the achievement of the absolute best visual potential. Treatments with Advanced Customvue Technology are 25 times more precise. Studies submitted to the FDA demonstrated that 4 times as many individuals rated their night-time vision as “very satisfied” compared to conventional methods of laser vision correction.

Advanced Customvue Technology is a wavescan-guided treatment, not a wavescan-optimized treatment. The difference between these two is important to understand. “Customization” on platforms such as the Allegretto Wavelight using wavescan-optimization is based on a preprogrammed library of wavescans. Such treatments are not based on the patient’s individual and specific wavescan. In contract, Advanced Customvue Technology creates wavescan-guided treatments customized according to the unique wavescans of the patient’s eyes.
